Barbara Morgan - Executive Producer

Barbara Morgan co-founded the Austin Film Festival in 1993 and has served as sole Executive Director since 1999.  Morgan produced the film Natural Selection, co-produced the documentary Antones: Home of the Blues, the documentary, Portrait of Wally, and the narrative feature film, Spring Eddy.  Additionally, Morgan serves as Executive Producer on the On Story Television and Radio programs and has produced four feature films, and sits on the boards of Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center, the International Film Festival Summit and the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University, among others.

 

Olivia crouch - Executive Producer

Olivia Crouch grew up in Austin, before moving to Chicago to pursue a BFA in Film Editing with a minor in Documentary Production from DePaul University. After graduation, she returned to her hometown to pursue a career in live music and event production! Olivia originally joined the Austin Film Festival team as an intern before transitioning into a role as Office Manager, and now On Story Executive Producer. She is excited to be a part of an organization that works towards championing storytellers.

 

JAMAL KNOX - executive PRODUCER

Jamal Knox is an Austin-based Audio Engineer and Digital Marketing specialist. He has been working in the local music scene since 2010, playing for local and non-local acts and providing live sound and post-production services for bands and artists. As an audio engineer he has worked with companies such as Freeman, Nomad Sound, SXSW, Dell, Rooster Teeth and many others. He joined the On Story® team in 2012 and has been an Editor ever since. Jamal is a lover of animals, storytelling, and parts unknown and is a skilled multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer. In his free time he participates in events for various arts organizations and travels.

 

LIZ Mims - Producer

Elizabeth Mims grew up in Austin, Texas and graduated with a BFA from CalArts. Her 2012 film Only the Young was theatrically released by Oscilloscope and won numerous awards including the Silverdoc’s Sterling Silver Award for best US documentary, American Film Institute Audience Award, and was nominated for a Spirit Award. She was also nominated as homecoming princess in high school. Elizabeth was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Indie Film and worked as the Senior Film Programmer for Austin Film Festival for over 5 years. She works at Paramind Films as a director, editor and producer and at Alpheus Media as their Post-Production Supervisor.

 

COLIN HYER - Associate Producer

Colin Hyer serves as AFF’s Creative Director, and is responsible for programming year-round Conversations in Film and the annual Screenwriters Conference panels which are later curated into On Story productions. Hyer received his B.A in film and production from Columbia College Chicago, and has an extensive history of teaching film to Austin youth through non-profit organizations such as the Austin School of Film, Creative Action, and AFF’s Young Filmmakers Program.
